Tango and murga converge in a single instrument: the bass drum with cymbal. Uncommon in one genre and indispensable in the other, it finds a powerful purpose in the music of this group, composed of Agustín Lumerman (bass drum with cymbal and drums), Leandro Bedaumine (piano), Manuel Rodríguez (clarinet) and Florencio García Aramburu (guitar and vocals), whose repertoire spans tangos, waltzes, murga from Buenos Aires and Cádiz and original compositions. The guitar plays a foundational role in the history of tango, and that legacy serves as the starting point for this quartet led by Guillermo Martel. Inspired by the legacy of Roberto Grela, the group presents a repertoire that alternates between classics and original compositions, in both instrumental and vocal versions. Rounding out the lineup are Hernán Ielapi on guitarrón and vocals and Martín Duhalde and Facundo Nicanor on guitars.
