Julio Pane, one of the greatest bandoneon players in history, was a member of essential orchestras, played in Piazzolla's sextet and was a soloist of the Buenos Aires Tango Orchestra for decades. At the request of his son Leandro "Yoyo" Pane, Julio formed his own tango orchestra, in which he projected his musical thinking, with the knowledge of the tango roots and the retrieval of his arrangements. The Festival pays tribute to the musician who left us this year, with Leandro at the head of the orchestra, to move us once again with that sound that marked an era.
